Re: C.G Conn
That is from around 1925 ish.
It is a C Melody. Many were made.
But, they stopped making saxophones in the key of C around 1930.
Now they are made in B flat and E flat. There is not much demand for a C sax today, but there is a following.
Your Conn C melody has all the "bells and whistles" of the time, so I consider them the best of the C melody examples.
You can pick one up in pretty good condition for around 250-300.
It will cost a good 500 to 800 to make it sing like new.
Nice refurbished examples sell in the 1000 to 1500 range.
Condition is everything. There are many of them out there.
Good Luck
