Modes

Hi thank you for adding me. I am looking at modes but am confussed. So this is how i am working them out at the moment.eg. mixalidian mode

G Maj G A B C D E F#G 
SO G. Is the second mode of F. so I know F will be my flat seventh note. giving me my mixalidian G A B C D E F G

My problem is when i get to eg. Ab? so Ab second mode of ?? Gb? or do i just flatten the &th making it a Gb lol. sorry if i have confused.
