King Soprano Sax SN 100424

Hi--I have this soprano sax, and not sure where to find out it's history, how to care for it and what it woud cost to have it cleaned and new pads/corks. It is in its original case, and it has an "old" odor to it. It's in great condition visually speaking..needs cleaning but not sure where to start! Is it of value? Should I let my local music store service it, or should it be sent somewhere special? Am I asking the right questions? I've had it for almost 20 years...and it's been moved several times, and I'm finally considering servicing it to use or sell. Thanks for any help you can offer! Kelley

King is a decent brand. It's worth it to fix to use or sell. What kind of reputation does your local technician have? If all it needs is new pads and a cleaning, your local tech should be just fine. (Always take pictures of the horn before letting anyone work on it.)
