Brass protection

For an old unlacquered brass horn - once it is polished, how do I keep it from tarnishing again? Don't want to lacquer it, does anyone know of a wax or some other product that will keep it shiny for an extended period?

You could lock it away in an enclosed case with Tarnex Strips, but what good is a horn you can't play? Just wipe it down every time you use it, that should delay the tarnish.

A good furnitare wax will do or you could use a spray but it wont last as long as a thicker wax polish in the tins Dave
