Sonny Rollins' Setup On album " Worktime "

As Title , i love that kind of sound ( or just because of the recording technics of that time ? ) , I found the album just but just saw the top of the album' menu . Seems like a Conn's vintage horn , like 10M or Chu , could someone answer for me ? THX JayWu

    Hi Jay, I think that's a Selmer Balaced Action with an Otto link, and a Rico royal reed. Sonny is a Coleman Hawkins disciple, who was the father of the husky tenor sound. Other people you might want to hear are Lester Young, Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, and Gene Ammons. Now Sonny plays a Selmer MK , usually with a Berg Larsen, and La Voz or Hemke Reed. Terry
