conn 20m

I can get a decent conn 20m for under 300 dollars. It needs only a little work, but do you think it would be a good purchase? I know that most people say that Conn went downhill well before the 20m, but is it still a nice quality horn?

    Re: conn 20m

The 20M was produced in the early 1980's after Daniel Henkin bought the company back from MacMillan and moved them back to Elkhart, Indiana. They are a good student-intermediate model horn. They play very well and have a good sound. They're usually a great buy, because many people associate these later models with those made in Mexico under MacMillan's ownership. For under $300, I really don't see how you can go wrong if the sax is in decent shape. Jim
