i'm a newby

hello to all who read this! :) yeah, i'm 15, a freshman in HS... i started on clarinet, but in like 7th grade switched to tenor to be in jazz... i don't really know much about saxophones, which is pretty sad, yeah, and i just got my own horn this year. i guess i'm sorta 2nd best in school (not bragging or anything...), 'cos i'm 1st chair in Sym II, and there's only one guy, a senior, above me. any tips on mouthpieces? i don't really know what kind i should get, and i'm considering a new one, so any thoughts are appreciated...
