Serial number for Conn Tenor

I'm seeking further info/details on on my Conn tenor sax — serial #10 M >T289011 L. > >Great horn. Want to know more about it.

    the year of manufacture was 1940, one of te prime years for the 10M. Congrats on such a great horn! There is more detailed info on sites like www.saxpics.com

      Yep, it's a 1940 Conn 10M. I'm assuming it has a topless lady on the bell. This was the infamous naked lady horn. They are very popular and quite valuable. I play a 1948 myself. Like Definition said, 1940 is one of the best years for the 10M. Yours would have rolled tone holes; the later models _after 1947) do not. If you're looking to sell it, I am sure you won't have any trouble finding a buyer here on Saxquest! Jim
