Help What is this Mirage Alto Sax serial 62373

Hello I have a old Mirage alto saxophone I found the sax at a antique store case was fallen apart replaced it case looked like back in 50"s case. The sax needed some repairs. I cleaned it up did the repairs. {plays fine} I ask and looked around wondered just how old this sax is. Im told selmer made it {is this right?} dated back around 1955 Im told? I really need your help with this one the sax on the bell says MIRAGE and under the words MIRAGE upside down is the words MIRAGE like a mirage. The sax is a bit heaver then most altos Ive played. Serial is 62372 would like to know how old and who made it if possible. Thanks Steve
