how do i get that rich jazz sound

i was wondering how to get the sound you make when your playing up-beat swing or improv

    The sound you mention comes from playing and listening to jazz for a very long time. I think if you keep your interest in jazz you will be getting that sound very soon.......Kelsey

      pratice, control, and pratice... =) now if only I could get a harder rock tone on my tenor.
