Kinda new(ish)

I was wondering what legit mouthpiece would be good to use in college? I've seen several brand names - Peter Ponzol, Larry Teal - but I don't know much about them. Help please? Thanks for any and all responses.

Try these: Selmer S80 (C*, C**) Selmer S90 (190, 180) Vandoren Optimum (AL3 or AL4) Vandoren V5 (A17, A27, A28) There's no right or wrong answer. Just try a bunch, with different ligs too. Happy mouthpiece hunting

S80 very easy to play on, quiet, dark, incredible. If you want more loudness I like the new Super Session selmer mouthpieces.

well, if you want a mouthpiece with more presence you can still get an S-80, but in a larger size, like a D. you can also look at an older Selmer piece, they were louder, but some got a little too bright. dont get a soloist, they are far too jazzy
