Noyek resonators...?

I've heard a lot of dirt about these suckers, so I'm kind of debating using them to restore my silver chu-berry. I used the black saxquest/gold noyeks last year on a project of mine and they sounded great, but perhaps there's a better suggested resonator out there...? Just kind of curious to see what the general consensus is here. Thanks guys :) C.Flowers

It's been my experience (and opinion) that the size of the resonator makes much more of a difference than the materials that they're made of. Resonators only enhance the horns tone and do not change it. IMHO the "this one makes you brighter and these'll make you darker is all BS"! If your horn and MP combo sound dark they'll still be dark regardless of which reso is used. In short, the larger the reso the more of the sax's tone is reflected and not absorbed by the leather. Want to change your tone? Do it with MP's and reeds and not with new reso's or you just might be disappointed. JMHO
