1937 C.G. Conn Factory - RARE pre-WWII footage

Posted by Saxquest [See all of this user's videos] about 10 years ago
From the Saxquest Museum archives is this very rare film showing C.G. Conn musical instrument production from the factory floor in 1937. Walk through the process of making the famous Vocabell brass to seeing the tone holes drawn on a Conn transitional naked lady alto saxophone. See Jake Burkle at work and Julius and Charles Doc Stenberg at the engraving bench. Published here with written permission from Conn-Selmer Inc.

"Really great to see the guys who would have made my 1926 gold plated bari (which was owned by Jimmy Giuffre in the 1950/60's), and how they worked.Fantastic craftsmanship!"
