This is a vintage Selmer Paris Soloist short shank mouthpiece for alto saxophone. There is some light cosmetic wear around the beak area but nothing major around the body. The rails, tip and table are all in good shape showing little to no wear. There are a few cosmetic spots above the tip rail that are hard to see but the curve of the tip is not affected. The back of the shank shows no signs of cracks or nicks. These earlier soloist pieces had a little bit more baffle wise then the later long shank pieces and play just a little bit brighter. This piece plays with a warm focused sound and performs best with a heavy reed. Its current tip opening is a hair above .060”.
