DUKOFF

Dukoff mouthpieces were founded by the famed saxophonist Bobby Dukoff.  He first gained popularity as a Big Band tenor player in the Jimmy Dorsey Band.  While playing for Dorsey he would "touch up" his band mates mouthpieces, and eventually he crafted and customized his own mouthpiece.  Needless to say it was very popular among other musicians, and they all wanted their own.  This is essentially how Dukoff mouthpieces came into being.

The earliest Dukoff Mouthpieces were made in Hollywood California and are stamped so.  Eventually Bobby Dukoff would move the company to Miami Florida, where it remains to this day.  Some of the most sought after vintage Dukoff mouthpieces are:

B.D. Hollywood Series I and II
Stubby Dukoffs
Zimberoff Hollywoods & Vibra Metals
Fluted Chambers
B.D. Supersonic/Zimberoff House of Note
Transitionals
Miaimi Super Power Chambers

Dukoff mouthpieces were played by many great saxophonists over the years, and are still very popular today.  Here are some of the great musicians who have used Dukoff mouthpieces:

Dexter Gordon - Stubby Dukoff
Kirk Whalum - Miami Super Power Chamber
Gerald Albright - Miami Super Power Chamber
Chip McNeill - Miami Super Power Chamber
