This is a very nice silver plated Selmer Super Balanced Action alto saxophone, serial number 45550. This alto looks incredible and plays better!

The horn has over 98% original silver plating intact, with just minor wear on a few touch points and the like. There are no dents anywhere, and just minor resolder work on a couple lower body keyguards, all done professionally and hard to spot. The original neck shows very little wear and has never been damaged or pulled down.

While the alto does play with a little punch, as you would want from an SBA, the silver plating warms up the sound and gives it a slightly darker sweeter tone. It's a versatile horn, comfortably playing in all ranges at all dynamics.
