This is a beautiful, all original Selmer Paris “New Largebore” series tenor sax, serial number 12236. Many people called these post-Model 26 horns part of the Super series, which included the Cigar Cutter and Radio Improved. This tenor was manufactured in 1930, and despite its age it is still in incredible condition.
For starters, the original silver plating is over 95% intact, with only mild finish wear on the usual touch points. The sax looks fantastic top to bottom, with no major dents or past trauma. It has a couple surface pings which we will remove, but no serious past damages. The original neck has never been pulled down or hurt in any way.
