Yes, this is not a saxophone, but it is still very cool! This is a really cool, old vintage Buescher Albert System Bb “Clariphon”, sometimes called a “Saxonette”, serial number 20304. This is a High Pitch instrument, so not worth restoring in a practical sense, but what makes this instrument so unique is that it features a metal semi-curved barrel and metal curved bell. A truly bizarre clarinet for serious collectors of all instruments! The Clariphon is not playable in current condition, but it is a great conversation piece among musicians, as you'll never see another one!
The Buescher version of this instrument were only made from around 1918-1921. It is a very cool system, as the removable metal bell can be put on any Bb clarinet, including modern ones, and it plays great. On display in the Saxquest museum.
