This is a gorgeous gold plated Conn curved soprano saxophone, serial number 121056. This sax was completely restored by one of St. Louis’s top sax tech guru’s, George Bunk.
Did I mention this sax was gorgeous? It has greater than 95% original finish remaining, with just a small amount of wear on the usual touch points. The horn was completely repadded with brown plastic resonators. There is no past damage evident on the instrument, and just a little resolder work on a couple key guards in the bottom bow. It has no dents or dings of any kind anywhere.
This soprano lacks nothing in the sound department either! It has a slightly spread characteristic with a nice warm core and is very free blowing. Intonation is also very good.
