C.G. CONN "Portrait" Gold Plate "Flapper Woman" (Serial Number: 160989) Back to model

C.G. Conn alto saxophone (serial number 160989) - This is a nearly perfect example of Conn craftmanship at the heart of the Conn empire (late 1920's). This instrument has nearly 100% of the original burnished gold plating still intact. The horn is heavily hand-engraved with the portrait of a flapper woman in addition to an elaborate floral design.

The horn is physically excellent. It has no dents and even has NO signs of any repaired damages ever (no pulled dents, resoldered posts or key gaurds). It has the patented Conn tuner neck. It also has rolled tone holes and the finger nail file G# key.

This is truly one of the great saxophones of the past and in simply amazing condition.
