Here's a great example of the first year production Conn 10M tenor saxophone. This is one of the earliest we've seen and its a real treasure. With serial number 263072, this saxophone dates to 1934.
The sax has nearly all of the original lacquer still intact. There are no dents or repaired damages. This sax was restored in the Saxquest shop by Duncan Bamsey back in 2004. Note the first series B & Bb key guard. This is only found on the 10Ms in the 26xxxx range.
The horn has a majestic sound! Its tremendously free blowing and possesses a rich resonance that can only be found in a great vintage Conn.
