This is a fantastic late vintage Buescher 400 “Top Hat & Cane” tenor sax, serial number 350321. This horn is one of the best factory relaq’s you’ll ever find. The engraving is a little smoothed out in just a couple places, but otherwise all of the detail, even the fine points, are clearly visible.

The lacquer on the sax stands at about 99%, with just light wear on a couple keys. There are no dents or dings to be found. It is obvious this horn was meticulously cared for. The horn does come with the original neck and in the original case.

The pads on this horn, with Buescher metal snap-in resonators, are in excellent shape. It was fully adjusted and regulated by George Bunk at Saxquest in St. Louis back in 2005, and is in top playing condition. The sax features a full open sound, and is a very resonant horn.
