This is a Conn "New Wonder" tenor saxophone, serial number 131325, in 98% original matte silver plate with gloss silver keys and gold wash plate on the inside of the bell. This tenor is in nearly unused preserved condition with nearly all the original plating still intact. There is no wear to speak of, not even on the touch pieces. This is the pre Chu Berry vintage that features rolled toneholes and split bellkeys. The tone is incredibly fat and resonant with a warm upper register and huge bottom end.
This tenor is physically excellent with NO dents and NO previous dentwork. There are NO resoldered joints on the horn.
This tenor has a big and robust sound that is ideal for traditional jazz or more aggressive blues and R&B. This tenor has a Huge... HUGE sound!!!!
It is also photographed with the original Conn Trademark mouthpiece.
