C.G. CONN Silver Plate Transitional 6M (Serial Number: 250669) Back to model

This is a beautiful C.G. Conn late transitional 6M alto saxophone, serial number 250669. This horn is breathtakingly nice, with over 99% original matte silver finish and no major wear of note.

Physically the horn is as perfect as it gets. There are no dents or dings, and no resoldered joints, anywhere in the horn. The original double socket neck, with underslung octave key and Conn "tuner" mechanism, is just as nice with no finish wear.

The sax is a real late transitional model, so it has same side bell keys. It also has the trill G# key, and swivel thumb rest.

These silver plated vintage Conn altos are extremely nice players. They have a real sweet sound, slightly darker than a lacquered model, though not much. This horn has been photographed with the original case, also in outstanding shape.
