SAX SONG ARTIST

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHO WROTE AND WHO RECORDED THE OLD SAX HIT " RAMBUNCTION ".. i think i have it spelt right

    It's Rambunctious and I'm guessing Bill Black's Combo or Ace Cannon. Now I'm going to go look it up. Oops-- Turns out it's Ram-Bunk-Shush by The Ventures, 1961. Hit Number 29 nationally.

      Donnie.....THANKS FOR THE REPLY ...YOUR RIGHT IT WAS THE VENTURES WITH THE GUITAR VERSION IN 61 ..BUT WITH A LITTLE MORE RESERCH I CAME UP WITH BILL DOGGETT SAX VERSION IN 57..THANKS AGAIN ..TONYSAX

        That's better research than I did. The Ventures did re-make a lot of tunes. Man, I forgot all about Bill Doggett until you mentioned him. I even remember the song better now. I actually took up tenor sax because of songs like that - and the fact that many rock songs of the late 1950's and early 1960's featured sax solos. Good Luck.
