I play on my Conn Transitional Tenor (1931-1932) using a Berg Larsen 120 2 SMS and it produces a very bright rounded centred sound that i like a lot. I've tryed to play it with a Selmer Metal Jazz Silver one and the sound wasn't that nice, was poorer and kind of weak. Try an Otto Link Ebonite True Tone one, i think could work as well. Best regards!.

you could also try a selmer soloist with an open facing, like an E or F, you will be able to scream with one of those!
