Re: 1968 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxo
Absolutely! It has just gone under about $350 wort of repairs and it plays so well. The springs are set for quick action which is great for bebop play. It has about 85% original lacquer with some wear throughout the horn, but it makes the horn look very vintage. The serial number is 156100, so it was made in 1968. The only two problems, if you will, with the horn is that the G key is the slightest bit leaky, which can be easily fixable, and there is one soldering spot underneath the serial number which is about the size of a nickel. That is the only spot that doesn't have original lacquer. Despite those VERY small problems, it plays GREAT!! I am a saxophone player, and it was repaired and check by 3 other professional sax players and they love the horn. I live in Oklahoma, and I can ship the thing wherever if you need to.
If you send me an email address, I can definitely send you some pictures of it if you're skeptical. Please let me know what you think. thanks man!
