The patent is a Wm. Haynes patent which covers the way tone holes were drawn from the body, and this patent was liscensed to Conn, who made your horn. The Conn serial number sequence does not in any way correspond to the Lyon and Healy production, and the instruments are NOT the same. What you have is an old curved soprano, not anything particularly valuable. There is very little demand for these old stencil horns.

Lyon and Healy was not a manufacturer. They were a wholesale distributor that had their instruments made by other companies. To the best of my knowlege, no records exist that accurately determine the date of manufacture of instruments sold under that brand.
