'The Elkhart' Saxophone Info Request

I've just acquired my mother's saxophone. Her family bought it new in the 1940's. It has a silver/nickel finish It's a tenor the serial number is 29430 Can someone help me or direct me to a source for getting all the 'specs' on this instrument? It has been very well maintained and used not abused Thanks for any help you might offer
