Just bought a horn. want an opinion

Hi, I just bought a 1938 conn 'naked lady' 6m alto from a music store off ebay. i have always read that the 6m's were great vintage horns. this horn is in perfect playing condition; new pads;the works. i paid $1000 for it, did i make a smart choice?

    Opinion: yes. The only way that you can confirm this is to measure the smile on your face after you play it. I have a '33 ladyface and it's an extraordinary horn. Still smiling.
