Best way to sell vintage horn?

I have a vintage horn I'd like to sell because I don't play it and it really should be played. I made a photo gallery on the web at www.flying-pig-productions.com/tenor/ I don't know how to guess what to ask for it. Should I put it on an ebay auction, consign it to a shop, sell it to a shop, or advertise it locally to avoid shipping? Anyone's experience doing this would be appreciated.... Carol

Re: Best way to sell vintage horn?

Hello, You have a Top Hat and Cane Buescher. I just sold one through my shop for close to $5000, however it was absolutely a gem. All of the original lacquer, paperwork, case, etc... Your horn is most likely in the $2000 range, but you really need to make sure it's been looked at by a shop. It seems it needs some work. I'd be glad to help you out. Shoot me an email. --Mike Corrigan [email protected]
