1962 Conn Alto Sax

I received a Conn Alto Sax from a family member that has no model, just a serial number 873858.(The bell has engraving on it and says Conn,USA) The family member said they thought it was a made in 1962 and they used it in the College band (1st Chair). They gave me the horn for my 10 year old daughter to use when she starts playing in the band in Feb. I wanted to know if this is a good horn since I can find no info on it? Thank You, Keith
