Vintage 1924 Conn Soprano maintenece and apprailsal
I have a Vintage 1924 C. G. Conn straight soprano saxophone.
Engraved on the saxophone is as follows:
PATD DEC 8 1914
1119954
S
129749
L
On the bell of the saxophone this is engraved:
CARROLL #16
The saxophone is in perfect playing condition, but has little dots littered across the whole saxophone and the rollers on the left hand side keys do not roll anymore.
I know that the saxophone was made in 1924.
I was wondering four things.
First, how can I be rid of the dots plaguing this saxophone?
Second, how can I get the rollers to roll again?
Third, what material is this instrument made of?
And finally, what would a saxophone like this go for, if it included
6 Vandoren 3 reeds
Meyer 7M Lapped Facing Soprano mouth piece
Meyer 7M Lapped Facing Soprano mouth piece
Bari 60 Soprano mouth piece
Bari 62 Soprano mouth piece
Thank you very much for any effort put in.
Cheers,
Cooper
