information request

I recently got a sax from a friend that he no longer wanted and wanted me to sell it for him. I was wondering if someone could give me some information on it. It is a brass sax with the name CONN on it with the serial # 157695 . By what I am reading it is one of the BAD one but can someone tell me how much I should sell this for. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

no, its a GOOD one. not quite the right sn. for a GREAT one, but its in between. still worth about 1500-2250 if you find the right guy to sell it to. i assume its in good condition?

If the serial number has no letter in front of it, or ONLY an M, it could be excellent. If any OTHER letter, it is a later, much less valuable instrument. Also if it says only "CONN" rather than "C. G. Conn" or "C. G. Conn, Ltd." it would indicate a later student-model sax.
