shooting star con.

I am looking at a Shooting star Tenor that someone is selling. The Number that appears on the back is N136293. Now I don't know much about the cons. What is the Maximum amount i should pay for this sax. The condition is good and a few pads need replacing, and possibly the mouth piece. aside from that it's in good condition. After reading a few things on here...I noticed that any conn that says "Made In Mexico" is a no no. The one I am purchasing has no mark under teh conn label on the bell of the sax. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx!!!
