C.G.CONN ALTO SAX SERIAL # 9486

I have a vintage alto sax that my dad bought 40 years ago from a guy cleaning out an attic. This C.G.Conn alto sax was manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana. It has the serial # 9486 and comes complete in it's original case. On the conn-selmer web site, the serial number is from 1904 - 1905, making the sax 104 years old. If I was to try to sell it, how much might it be worth? Is there a museum out there that would be interested in it? Here are a few pictures that I snapped of it. s690.photobucket.com/albums/vv265/2sauder Thanks Tim Sauder

I would keep that for posterity, considering its age and how well it has been kept. I have not come across any C.G.Conns of that age (from pre-1910), but would say 1000+, definitely higher. DO NOT DONATE IT TO A MUSEUM.

See the thread "Conn Saxophone Models Timeline" in this section (just scroll down 'til it pops up- it's aways down there). Lots of good info from Connsaxman Jim.
