another Conn to help identify!

Can you help me figuring out a silver (or nickel?)-plated Conn alto sax serial number? It is 74400 and by the online serial # lists, that puts it in the early 1920s. Does this seem right? If so, would it be a good idea to have it fixed up and play it? Or is it too far before all the developments of the next couple decades to warrant wasting time on it? Its for sell at $359.00. Thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!
