Stolz GDR Saxophone - does anyone have information about this instrument?

Hi - I have been given a saxophone a number of years ago and I am trying to find more information about it. The engraving says STOLZ made in GDR with serial numbr 62366. I THINK it is an Alto (but not having much experience not too sure). Can anyone give me more information about the maker or anything else about this instrument ? (ie: is it vintage?, how much should it be insured for?, where can I get repairs in Australia). thanks any help would be appreciated. Oxleyjewel
