Charliie Parkers Buescher Era

Hi to all
I came across an auction for a Buescher ( 1930s) that the great zcharlie Parker had owned, estimated at $22000 to 24000 I am curious if the 1930s Bueschers are regarded as very good Vintage Altos.......
Thanks in Advance
PS. What is a fair price for one in working order.

The 1930s Buescher Aristocrats are good horns and they got better through the decade. They're lighter sounding horns than the Conns, but get good marks for evenness and intonation. The most valued ones are the "Big B" version that began its run towards the close of the decade. Check closed listings on eBay to get an idea of market value.
