When do I say good by to the reed.

personally I like to think that reeds have to be broaken into before they sound rich. I play a med La Voz with otto link 8* and preffer to play on the same (broaken in) reed for a LONG time. When I bust out a new reed it sounds all loud and raspy and good for Rock and Roll.

    You could always put it through the reed tes... When you think the reed is ready to be retired... smash it up against a hard surface... if it doesnt shatter, then you keep playing on it!
