Where to find info on manufacturers.

I was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction to find out more information about my saxophone. It's an off brand and I can't find out much about it. It is a Bandmaster and it was made in the GDR (German Democratic Republic) so it's a little older. I'm thinking it's probably a student horn, but any help would be great. Thanks a lot.
