clean my bari!

I got a new Cannonball bari a couple weeks ago. It's black (like.. black nickel or sumthin i guess) and its pretty! i love it dearly. But from playing so much a i get little spit spots and stains on it. They wont come off! Any ideas on getting them off w/out scratches or stains? Thanks! --Annie
