Buying a sax in Cuba

First of all, let me say that it's been years since I played. Back in High School I could work my way through the odd Parker solo without him rolling over in his grave, but that was then and this is now. Anyhow, I've just come in to some free time, and I'm thinking of giving tenor a go, something on the Sam Butera tip. So my first question is: Any recomendations for type of horn (I'd like to spend no more than 1200 US)? And does anyone have any experience buying horns in Cuba? I'm going there for a week in May and my theory is that I might be able to get something vintage in excellent quality for much less than in North America.
