mouthpeice selection

currently playing a stueben tenor sax for the past two years, i have a stock mouthpeice, also a brillhart #5 metal jazz mouthpeice, i cant seem to get comfortable with either one on the low register low b , c# lowb flat,, the reeds currently used are rico royal #2and 2and a halfs. am looking into buying a new mouthpeice, ,any one have a suggestion of what i might look for as far as the mouthpeice size and reed ? no problems on the upper register, just seems to be on the lower notes below low c. ive read a lot of good posts on this site , hope one of you players can set me on the right track! ... hawkman

    Re: mouthpeice selection

sounds like a leak in the horn. I'd have it checked by a tech before looking to a mpc change as the solution. Unless both mouthpieces are flawed, I would guess that it's either leaks or embochure issues that are causing the problem.
