The dearth of good ol' Truetone Tenors on Ebay

I *knew* I shoulda grabbed one six months ago when they could have been had for a little over $200 for non-front-F equipped models and were in decent supply. I haven't seen many actual tenors (but tons of C-mels!) for quite a while now, and the ones that are listed receive little or no interest due to unreasonable starting bid levels. well, just pining I guess. Stuff goes in cycles.

I too have noticed the lack of true tone tenors , luckilly i bought a 1928 with all the extras about 2 years ago for around $200. I knew the prices would rise as they are a fine playing horn. I bought an alto and bari around the same time Dave
