Altissimo G help

I am playing a peice called "Variations on a gavotte by Corelli" for a solo and ensemble contest on my alto sax. it requires the ability to play altissimo notes in quick succesion. is there an easy way to play the altissimo G without putting down a bunch of extra fingers? thanks for any help

    Re: Altissimo G help

The best thing to do, at least in my opinion, is to first use front e and f. And the fingering I have used for G is the front f key and the sie b key. Now that fingering works on my horn but it might not on yours. But it is better to have the front e and f facility when having to play runs that involve altissimo. Hope that helps.

for G...use front left hand F key, index fingerby itself ...use the "c" key when going from F to G or F# to G. Finger F# same as F just add right hand side key for those runs. Alternate fingerings are great up there. peace, -d
