Try calling a technical college that teaches instrument repair. They might be able to repad the instrument for less cost than a repair shop. Or, enroll in the class and learn to do it yourself, with competant supervision. Don't try to do it yourself without supervision. There is much more to creating the correct seal and placement than you might think.
