    It really depends on where you live inchnon. If you're writing from Ontario then I can help you out: In Toronto: Ken Fornetran (has his own shop) does good work and I have also taken my saxophone to Al Rossi (used to be at Gary Armstrong Woodwinds...not sure if he is still there). You can even just bring your horn into a Long and McQuade...although I would recommend Ken personally.

      I am in Halifax, but I don't mind dropping it off in Toronto next time I'm there. I just wasn't sure about the difference between repairing a newer "school band" instrument vs. an older one. Thanks.

        Yes, its a big difference in vintage horns and most student horns. make sure you find a tech with a clue!!
