    I've actually seen one of these sell for around $1500 -or maybe less - in really nice shape. It was estimated to be a 1960's model, if I recall correctly. Make sure you play it and like it before you buy.

      I have a beautiful Pierret alto sax, serial number 14807. How can I determine its age? I played it in the Seattle Symphony and it is a fine classical instrument. Regards David Taylor

        I sold a near perfect silver plate example for $2200 a couple of years ago. They are exceptional instruments, too rarely seen in this country.
