    Re: Conn tenor sax

What you have is a Conn New Wonder Series I or Series II. The date of manufacture is between 1924 and 1925 makes it right on the transition between the two models. One way to tell if it is the later, more desirable Series II nicknamed "Chu Berry", is if the left side, rectangular pinkie G# key is cross hatched. If so, you have yourself a wonderful "Chu Berry" Tenor.

Oops, Just noticed the "A" above the serial number. Your's is NOT a Tenor, but an Alto model.

Are the dates the same since it is an alto sax? Thanks.

Yes, everything is the same for this model, save for the fact that it is an Alto. A Tenor would have been worth more, and is slightly more in demand for this particular model/vintage, but it should be a wonderful horn none the less!
